Refunds and Returns are an inherent part of doing a retail based business. Overall Return Guidelines

These are The Pipers Alley Return Guidelines.  All returns must meet the overall guidelines in order for the the individual return policy to apply.

  • All product returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  • You can request an RMA number from customer service at Services@ThePipersAlley.
  • When an RMA number is given, specific information will also be given as to where the returned item should be shipped to, No returns are ever accepted without an RMA number.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Ideally if there is a problem with your purchase a complaint should be made within 14 days of the delivery date.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. We do not offer refunds or returns if you chose the wrong size, color or just changed your mind.

To complete your return, we require a photo of the reason you are needing a return or refund.

Any item not in its original condition, original packaging, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error is not eligible for a refund or return.

Unfortunately, we cannot assume responsibility for lost or stolen packages confirmed to be delivered to the address as entered for the order. In such an instance, please contact the carrier for any information regarding the delivery. Have your tracking number available to provide to the carrier to assist with the investigation.

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error cannot be refunded nor returned.

Any item that is returned more than 15 days after delivery cannot be refunded.

Refunds (if applicable) –
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 3 - 5  days, or you may elect for a replacement item.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable) –
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable) –
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable) –
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at  

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he / she will find out about your return.  

Shipping – You will be responsible for paying shipping costs for returning your item to us. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary, but most of our shipments are delivered within 3 - 8  Business days, and some (very few) of our deliveries, because of logistics, can take up to 15 Business days for delivery.

If you are shipping an item valued over $75 back to The Pipers Alley, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

As a small business operating in a sea of larger businesses, The Pipers Alley has to establish policies that are fair to our consumers, but fair and equitable to the continued survival of our store as well. Our very existence depends upon our ability to provide a quality product, quality customer service at a fair price. As such, we were challenged to develop a balanced set of policies that protects us, our customers and employees from the excesses of some customers and the costs of their excesses.

Refunds are only given  if the purchased items are defective when received, not as described on our product pages, or some other cause directly or indirectly attributable to this store or the manufacturer. 

Defective Product

You are entitled to a full refund or exchange if the product you purchased is received in defective shape. 

Not as described

You are entitled to a full refund or exchange if the product you purchased is not as described on the product page.

Attributable cause

 cause or causes that are directly or indirectly attributable to this store or the manufacturer of the purchased product.
